Financial Assistance
Halifax Urban Ministries assists individuals/families with financial assistance when available.
- Past due rent
- Past due utilities
In some situations, HUM can assist with helping homelessindividuals/families to secure housing provided they can self-sustain financially in the future.
Food Assistance
Halifax Urban Ministries provides a Feed-a-Family Bag of food that feeds a family of four (4)approximately five to seven meals per week. We are delighted when we can had frozen food to your package to increase the number of meals you can prepare.
A family or individual must present a photo identification card, a current rent receipt or utility bill with in the past 30 days to receive food. Currently Feed-a-Family Bags are served on an EVERY OTHER month cycle.
